Northwest Academy Mexico is a U.S.A approved private Sayulita school K-12 and is a "school -without-walls".  We serve students in a unique way by blending private school with a non traditional alternative school approach.   We provide customized curriculum individualized to each student integrating real life experiences with relevant and individualized education.
 
The educational emphasis of Northwest Academy Mexico is individualizing each program to the needs of the student. . Learning resources are chosen to match students learning style, academic needs and interests. This approach is successful for all types of students, from the highly capable,to those who have struggled in a more traditional school.
 
Learning is completed through one on one weekly instruction with an assigned teacher, along with individually developed weekly assignments done at home.  Students and teachers meet in a variety of ways, SKYPE, email chat and/or face to face when possible.
Minimum requirements for students are:  email and SKYPE capabilities
 
Enrollment in this Sayulita area private school is open year round and students can register for full credit, or partial credit.

Melodee Loshbaugh, EdD – Dr. Mel
Executive Academic Director, Northwest Academcy Mexico
Melodee has been an educator for many years. She started her work as an elementary classroom teacher and since that time has taught at all grade levels, including a number of years training teacher nationally. In pursuit of answers to questions Dr. Loshbaugh had regarding why certain kids were always struggling with school success she began her pursuit of study which includes the following degrees:

• MAT in Special Education
• MAT in Gifted and Talented
• EdD in Early Literacy Development, 1989, Washginton State University

She owes her desire to understand the problems many students are experiencing to her own children whose learning styles were not addressed in a traditional school.  Instead she said school were and still are all to hasty to blame lack of student school success on the student and/or some student deficiet or learning disability.
