Rollie's Restaurant is a classic Sayulita location that would make a charming setting for your San Pancho area wedding rehearsal or reception dinner.
Rollie’s Restaurant can accommodate up to 75 persons. Usually the restaurant is closed to the public to accommodate your party. The main floor of Rollie’s can accommodate up to 60 persons. If there are more than 60 persons, the upstairs terrace must be used. The style would be sit-down, with Rollie's wonderful servers attending to each table.
The Menu
Classic guacamole and salsa with chips would be served before dinner and as guests arrive.
An individual dinner salad would then be provided for each person. The five salad dressings prepared homemade at Rollie's would be on the tables.
The main dish would be paella, the traditional and delicious Spanish saffron rice in this case served with shrimp, mahi-mahi, chorizo, and chicken. However, accommodations could also be made for vegetarians. The paella is served with Rollie's secret sauce. Their paella has become world famous and on normal nights, diners must call ahead and reserve their serving before the restaurant opens because the paella always runs out!
Large shrimp quesadillas and machaca quesadillas made with homemade flour tortillas would also be served.
For dessert, guests can choose one of Rollie's specialties: either chocolate soufflé, flan, hot fudge or hot caramel sundae, or a combo of hot fudge and caramel sundae. These desserts have also become favorites of residents and returning visitors to the Sayulita and San Pancho Mexico area, and are sure to be a hit at your event!
In terms of quantity, this would be discussed beforehand, but in general Rollie's always insists on providing large portions and the sufficient amount so that each guests ends the night completely satsified.
The Costs and Drinks
The charge would be $25 USD per person or the equivalent in pesos. We also ask for an automatic minimum of 17% gratuity on the entire bill.
The $25 per person would not include drinks. Drinks would be served with a tally kept of how many of each kind, so that at the end of the night you are charged for this amount.
For wines, Rollie's offers either house or premium choices for red or white wine. The house wine is $120 pesos a bottle. The premium wine is $180 pesos per bottle.
Pacifico and Corona beer is offered at $20 pesos a bottle. Negra Modelo is also offered for $20 pesos a bottle.
Coke, Coke Lite, Coke Zero, Sprite and Sprite Lite are $25 pesos per can.
Bottles of water are $20 pesos each.
There is also a full bar and bar-tender in attendance at Rollie's. The majority of drinks at Rollie's cost $50 pesos each. Blended drinks are only $55 pesos. Drinks ordered could either be payed for by the wedding party, or guests could also pay individually for their drink consumption.
The Setting
Rollie’s Restaurant is a beautiful restaurant at night. Many have called it romantic. If the upstairs terrace is to be used, it too is beautiful at night with open-air palapas and stars looking down.
Music & Dancing
If hiring a live band is what you desire, then that would work well. Although, the acoustics in the restaurant amplify sound and care must be taken in this regard.
There is already a sound system at Rollie's and a large selection of CD's in the iTunes configuration. Or an iPod programmed by the wedding party could be accommodated for the night for a more customized music selection.
Dancing or socializing after dinner could go on until 11:00 P.M. when the night would need to end.
Deposits and Agreements
Rollie's asks for a final count one week prior to the dinner. The initial charge will be for the count given us at that time. For example, if one week prior to the dinner they are given a count of 75, the charge will be for 75 people. If, two people did not show up, the charge would be still for the 75 since all the preparations would be based on that number. However, there is no problem if guests are added after that. Such an addition can usually be accommodated, and each extra person would be charged for accordingly.
If the wedding party has decided to use the services of Rollie's Restaurant, then a deposit would need to be made to hold the restaurant for that night. They ask for half of the total amount for the dinner up front. Then, they ask for the other half one week before the celebration. At the end of the actual evening, the drink totals will be tallied, gratuity figured, and the final balance paid.
There are three ways that the payment can be received: through PayPal, check mailed to a U.S. address, or by deposit or transfer into Rollie's Washington Mutual account. All necessary information for either option would be provided at the time of payment.
A Word About Rollie’s
Rollie’s is a special place. Magic happens at Rollie’s. Rollie is a retired school principal who always wanted a restaurant and now has a big one in his retirement. Rollie established his restaurant based on several premises; it would be a place of love, it would be a place where every human being who enters it would be nurtured and respected, it would be a place where “fun” is the operative word. All of this makes it a perfect place for receptions, rehearsal dinners, birthday parties, and all manner of other celebrations. Rollie and crew absolutely insist on having fun. Rollie’s has been doing large group functions for many years. One comment from a client last year after a wedding reception at Rollie’s was, “This was the best wedding reception I’ve ever been to.” At Rollie's, they hear things like that a lot, because Rollie and his wife Jeanne take great pride in their restaurant.
